La OMS reconoce que el suicidio es una prioridad para la salud pública. En 2014 se publicó el primer informe mundial de la OMS sobre esta cuestión, titulado «Prevención del suicidio: un imperativo global», con objeto de aumentar la sensibilización respecto de la relevancia del suicidio y los intentos de suicidio para la salud pública, así como de otorgar la máxima prioridad a su prevención en los programas mundiales de salud pública. Además, con este informe se procuró alentar y ayudar a los países a elaborar o reforzar estrategias integrales de prevención del suicidio en el marco de un enfoque multisectorial de la salud pública. Con todo y que tenemos a mano muchisima información sobre cómo manejar el tema del suicidio, seguimos estimagtizando este tema y alimentamos nuestra falta de sensibilidad con los seres queridos que quedan en la tierra tras perder a un ser amado. Practiquemos la empatía y acompañemos desde el amor. Sin dejar de estar con los ojos abiertos hacia el comportamiento de nuestros seres queridos y cercanos. Nos volvemos a sentar con nuestra querida  Dra. Yasury Borromé de Casilla (@yasuryborrome.psiquiatra)  quien es  Psiquiatra y cuenta con un Máster en Crisis y Traumas. Además es parte esencial de este podcast para profundizar sobre el suicidio.
