#28: The Knick, Orphan Black & more...

Steven Soderbergh's apathy for the studio movie system is no secret, so it's fortunate to see him thriving on TV. The Knick stars Clive Owen as Dr. John Thackery, an innovative surgeon and struggling drug addict at New York's Knickerbocker Hospital at the turn of the 20th century. Soderbergh directed all 10 episodes of this first season, airing on Sky Atlantic in the UK this week and we can't recommend it enough. Also on this week's TV-focussed episode: Orphan Black, House of Cards and a whole lot more!
