280 Netflix and Kill

BRAND BRAND NEW EPISODE! We asked on Facebook what stories you wanted us to talk about on our return and there were some really great ones to choose from but there was one from Martin Bell that stood out to us: "What's going on with Netflix animation?" There's something about this topic that we keep coming back to but with the recent exiting of Phil Rynda and the layoffs which followed (we refer to this article from The Wrap quite a bit) it's back in the discussions. There's a very real situation at play with what makes us want to watch and keep watching shows in general but specifically animated offerings at Netflix versus other options on Hulu, Amazon, and elsewhere. We discuss the situation itself but use that as a springboard to talk about our viewing habits and what might be leading to our own animation series apathy.
