Between 2015 and 2016, something was happening inside a neonatal intensive care unit in England. Babies, premature, fragile, fighting to survive, were suddenly collapsing. Not one. Not two. She volunteered for extra shifts. She comforted grieving families. She made memory boxes for parents who had just lost their children.
