After two years of labour and community support the Grace Inn Shelter opened its doors to the unhoused population of Belleville on December 16th, 2019. The Grace Inn is a 21-bed emergency shelter for adults in downtown Belleville, with a special focus on dignity, community, and mentorship. To date, the shelter has provided over 19,000 overnight bed stays 38,342 meals and 4519 volunteer hours. In 2022 the shelter opened the Shiloh house which is a 5-bedroom + 1 accessible studio unit for male-identifying individuals.We are so excited to have the opportunity to chat with two experienced individuals and learn more about what the Grace Inn Shelter and Shiloh House bring to the community.
