S profesorkou Leanne Rowe, australskou praktickou lékařkou hovoříme o jejím životním příběhu, cestou od venkovské praktické lékařky k vůdčí osobnosti oboru.Clinical Professor Leanne Rowe is a rural GP from Australia, a past chairman of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Deputy Chancellor of Monash University. She is the coauthor of the 2nd edition of the book, Every Doctor: healthier doctors=healthier patients published by Taylor and Francis in 2023. She and her GP husband Dr Peter Jasek live in rural Australia with their black Labrador Myshka. They are members of The Czech Society of General Practice as they also live in Prague for about 2 months each year.In the interview we talk about early career as a rural GP, burnout and the way out, becoming an advocate for general practicioners and finally becoming a leader (not only) in GP community. We discuss adversities on the way, frequent frustration, the help and support we get from our families as doctors and also focus on doctors' health and doctors as parents. Differences in healthcare in Australia and the Czech Republic are addressed with acknowledgement that we might have more in common than we think.
