On January 7th, 2020, on the Umonhon reservation in Macy, Nebraska, the body of tribal member Ashlea Aldridge was found lying in a snow-covered field. The investigation into her death would reveal abuse, neglect, and bias, and leave her family still seeking answers and justice. Her story is just one of the countless cases of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls whose voices deserve to be heard.
