29 of 30: I didn’t want to do it, but I did it anyway… commitment is so annoying! EP 160

from The High Cost of Anonymity Podcast: Exploring the Cost of Keeping Your Life Experience to Yourself · host Preston Moore, K Preston Moore

Boy did I not want to do my breath work commitment… or the podcast for that matter. However, when I did, I realized how good of a day I had with my son. I had the day off and he ended up staying home from school #covid. Initially I was super annoyed because I wanted to enjoy my alone time. It was only until I did my meditation when I realized I actually had a great time with him. I also followed through on my yoga commitment, even though I didn’t want to. I find it fun setting the goals and making the commitments but oh is it a pain to stick with it. One of my favorite quotes from a friend is, anybody can catch but can you hold. He’s talking about in relationships however, I feel the same way about commitments. Anybody can make one but can you stick with it?
