29. Renaissance Red Carpet Catastrophe

This week we discuss our participation in the latest national march for Palestine. While we didn't make it to 1 million, it was still one of the most impactful and insightful marches we've been on since it started. In fact, we noticed that there was (still) a surprisingly small number of Black people present, especially on the podium after the march. Did BLM UK miss something here? Finally, we take a deep dive into the fashion fatality that was the Renaissance premier red carpet. Blvck Canvas is your official fashion correspondant folks! In the spotlight: Friends of the Congo - a Pan-African solidarity organization raising global consciousness about the challenges and potential of the Congo. What's going on in DR Congo: Huge expansion in cobalt and copper mining is ‘wrecking lives’ - new report. No National march this week. Instead, there is a Day of Action for Palestine in your local area on Saturday 2nd December. Please join an action in your local area to call for a permanent ceasefire now and for an end to British complicity in Israeli apartheid, including through the UK-Israel arms trade. You can find more information to get involved here.
