Today I had the privilege of hosting my friend Cheramie Hebert who stepped out in faith to open up about her struggles with the hard topics of infertility and post-partum depression. These are real issues that many women deal with more often than we realize and they need to know they are not alone. We are all guilty of trying to handle things on our own. We are ashamed to ask anyone for help, because we are afraid to look weak. After all, we all try to be Superwoman to our families, jobs, and to others. And sometimes when we feel like our prayers are going unanswered, we think God has left us too and it’s just too much to handle.We want things in our time and that’s just not how God works. But when we finally turn it all completely over to Him, He shows up big. It may not be our plan, but it is always His. Those silent times of waiting are so hard.Life is funny like that. We make plans, we think we know what’s best, and then BOOM—God shows up and shows off! And I am so thankful that He does! Because let’s be honest, left to our own devices, we’d be a hot mess.
