 South Sudan marks five years since the formation of the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity on February 22, coinciding with the end of the roadmap extension. This begins a new transition period running until February 2027, with general elections set for December 2026. However, key tasks remain unfinished, including the permanent constitution, force unification, and other critical commitments.
