Join Susan as she interviews Paul McCarthy, the founder and CEO of Snapfix.‍   Paul has always been involved in managing commercial and residential buildings as part of a family business.  Five years ago, Paul got really frustrated with all the inefficient communication in relation to managing buildings, projects and teams. There were post-it notes, phone calls, voicemails, text messages, WhatsApps, emails etc. flying all over the place, and it was impossible to manage and keep track of everything. He wanted a simple photo-based solution, as simple as WhatsApp, that had the flexibility to manage everything. Paul looked to the market for that simple solution, but everything he found was either too complex, too forms based, too inflexible, too time consuming, or too expensive. Since Paul had a background in software development, he set out to build a prototype phone application.  From that,Snapfix was born and is now ”the simplest” facilities and maintenance solution on the planet. Paul was scaling his business during COVID and learned to pivot his focus and was able to find a new opportunity providing a systemized cleaning schedule for hotels.
