Have you ever woken up from a long night of sleep and still felt tired? According to the Mayo Clinic, the recommended amount of sleep for a healthy adult is at least seven hours a night. But even getting enough sleep isn’t enough to be fully rested. As parents, we can quickly become overburdened, overwhelmed, exhausted, discouraged, and restless. Let’s take Jesus up on his invitation in Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Practice resting in Him.
