298 - One Missed Call (2008) Review

from The Final Podcast

A group of friends start receiving voicemails from their future selves just moments prior to their deaths and then they start to die one after another. One Missed Call is the remake of a 2003 Japanese horror movie from director Takashi Miike and after watching this movie again, we come to the same conclusion. This movie has an interesting concept, but poor execution with a convoluted storyline, plots that lead nowhere, characters that are either developed badly or don't serve a purpose, and cringeworthy CGI. Multiple viewings of this movie haven't changed our opinion over the years and while it has a similar feel to movies like Final Destination, The Ring, and Feardotcom where there's a countdown to death, this film fails to deliver on an interesting premise. Watch the movie and catch our review.YouTube | The Final PodcastFacebook | The Final PodcastInstagram | thefinalpodcastMusic Credit: Karl Casey @ White Bat Audiohttps://www.youtube.com/whitebataudioWhat should we review next?
