Laura wanted Marian to be her chaperon en route to Blackwater. 12 16 Glyde announced they will depart to Italy to visit Count and Madame Fosco. They will return in June. Marian will be left behind in Blackwater, England. 12 22 10am They prepared to go to church. 3pm Wedding ceremony completed. 1850 6 11 Laura will return tomorrow. Hartright wrote to Marian saying he felt he's been followed. Hartright's second letter saying he's leaving for Honduras for one year. Anne Catherick is still missing. Gilmore is sick. Philip Fairlie lives alone in Limmeridge House. 6 12 Marian found a dying dog in Lake side boathouse. Housekeeper explained it's Baxter the janitor who shot the dog according to Glyde's order. The dog belongs to Anne Catherick. Laura arrives at Blackwater. 6 15 Glyde shows contempt towards all the servants. Count Fosco is tall, fat and charming. Fosco controls his wife Eleanor very well. 6 16 Glyde's solicitor Mr. Merriman visited. Marian overheard Merriman and Glyde's talk about conpiring for Laura to sign against her will. Marian told Laura immediately who assured Marian that she will not sign anything detrimental to both of them's benefit. 6 17 Glyde is furious upon learning Anne Catherick's visit upon Blackwater. Glyde returns to House immediately. When everybody return to the House, Glyde is preparing his carriage to leave immediately. Glyde wishes everybody to go to the library to witness Laura's signing of the official document. Glyde covers most of the document, leaving only the space where Laura can sign her name on. Laura refuses to sign. Glyde gets furious. Fosco intervenes to intermediate the situation. Glyde then left saying the document must be signed tomorrow. 6 17 evening Marian wrote a letter to Mr. Gilmore's business partner Mr. Kyrle asking for his professional advice. Madame Fosco wishes Marian accompanying her to take a walk to the lake. When they return to the house, Marian learnt that Fosco had opened her letter. Marian walks Laura to the boathouse to talk privately. Laura confesses she is painful in her marriage. Glyde had found out her lover is Walter Hartright.
