Jansen felt bad that Peyton didn’t have any plans for New Year’s Eve since she just moved here and doesn’t really know anybody on the island, so he invited her to spend the holiday with him and some of his friends and family. She thought that act of inviting her to spend New Year’s Eve with him was already evidence enough that he really liked her, but ever since that night, he hasn’t been texting back.
