During this walk, Shay asks us to give more grace to Black owned businesses.  A South Carolina native, Shay she earned her Bachelors in the Criminology and Criminal Justice, Pre-Law Studies program at the flagship institution in the Palmetto State, the University of South Carolina. She then went on to earn her MBA, with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Winthrop University. A dynamic talent in the corporate industry, Shay has maneuvered and excelled in several freelance and full-time job assignments, and currently serves as the Sr. Manager for People Operations for a global non-profit organization called Women Who Code. But in 2017, she became the founder and CEO of 3MC Business Solutions. 3MC Business Solutions is a consulting firm dedicated to creating customized solutions for every client they serve. They help small businesses, startups, and nonprofit organizations reach their big goals, despite their budget constraints. Their ethos is equity and they eliminate barriers preventing Black and Brown women entrepreneurs from scaling their business and obtaining or maintaining sustainability. Shay's life purpose is rooted in giving back to marginalized and underserved communities, and she does so by amplifying Black and Brown voices, increasing access to resources, and creating equal opportunities for us to walk in our purpose.
