3.11-Context: Women's Basketball
from IWUHoops presents The Pursuit Hosted by IWUHoops
In Series 3, listeners will hear how IWU Athletics is attempting to flip the world’s vision of leadership upside-down by pursuing Kingdom greatness through discipleship. The terminology in each program may be different and the application may change, but the coaches at IWU believe that putting 'Mission In Action' by pursuing God 1st and others 2nd is a powerful way to live and to lead in any context. This episode will take listeners inside the culture of IWU Women’s Basketball. 1st Half (1:56)-Coach Ethan Whaley shares about his coaching philosophy and the growth he is seeing on his team. He gives insight into how he is challenging his players to get out of their comfort zone so they can go on an upward trajectory of growth. 2nd Half (18:45)-Transfer Sophomore Anne Secrest joins to talk about her experience so far in the program and what she has seen that makes IWU so unique. Overtime (28:43)-AD Mark DeMichael talks about what happens when a coach shifts from thinking about their job as a career and begins to think about it as a calling. www.iwuwildcats.com/misioninaction
