3.29 Acharei-Kedoshim 5783

1) After leaving Shul on Shabbos, I found myself on the street with my glasses perched atop of my head. (The glasses are bifocals but I read better without them, hence their being on top of my head). What was I supposed to do?[1] 2) May a woman in state of pregnancy visit her father’s grave on his Yohrzeit?[2] 3) Before the entrance to our Shul there are three stairs from the street. Our rubbish collection – from the street - is on Shabbos, and we can’t put out the rubbish a day earlier. How would I be permitted to place our rubbish on those stairs on Shabbos?[3] 4) Does the Kiddush in Shul count for Seuda Shlishis?[4] 5) In Is there an inyan in saying אתה חוננתנו outside of סדר התפילה? For women and children or for someone who forgot to say it in שמונה עשרה. [5] 6) We hope to get a Sefer Torah on loan in the next few weeks. We have services once a month and sometimes for Yom Tov. Sometimes we get a Minyan. What's the Halacha re. leining from a Sefer Torah when there is no Minyan? [6] 7) May I make Kiddush for the residents in an old age home before Shabbos begins, but not be yoitze thereby, thus being allowed to drive home afterwards? [7] 8) My wife was counting Sefira; I had not yet counted. She said the number of days, but I helped her with saying “that is one week and six days”. Have I now – unwittingly - counted the Omer, or may I count tonight with the brocho? [8] 9) In אשמנו there are colons, dividing the list into [unequal] sections. This division is accentuated in the way it is sung on Yom Kipur. What’s the reason for this? [9] ________________________________________ [1] דין היוצא לרה"ר וכיסו עליו – בשו"ע סי' רסו. וראה שו"ת אגרות משה (או"ח ח"ב סי' קיב – הובא בשמירת שבת כהלכתה פי"ח סעיף נג [ס]) בדין המוצא כיפה בתוך כיסו בלכתו ברחוב, שלבישת הכיפה נחשבת 'הנחה', כמו בליעת מאכל. ולכן צריך להפיל אותה כלאחר-יד ואז ילבוש אותה על ראשו. מובן שבמשקפיים, אם יפיל אותם למדרכה יישברו. אבל אם יש דשא או עציץ שאינו גבוה י' טפחים, יפיל אותם לשם. אבל לא על גדר-חי.
