But just two months into his rookie season in 1982 he was taken out of three straight games due to fits of panic and anxiety. Doctors didn’t know what the cause was and Jim was forced to retire when his dream had barely started. Three years later and after finally having his condition diagnosed as Tourette Syndrome, Jim returned to Major League Baseball.
