3/31/21 - Mindfulness & Insight Part 3: How Exactly is the Present Moment Created?

from Wednesday Wake-Up with Gregory Maloof · host wednesdaywakeup

This week we discuss the incredible creative power of the heart-mind to bring together the raw material of the present moment in order to give us a sense of self, a sense of the world, and the feeling of becoming. The Buddha refers to this creative act as fabrication or Sankhara. One of the primary goals of insight meditation is to gain a deeper understanding of this creative process so we can un-fabricate suffering and fabricate a sense of ease and well-being in our lives. In this episode we explore why this concept of Sankhara is so important and how we can use the heart-mind qualities of Mindfulness, Equanimity and Investigation to establish the foundation for freedom in our lives.  ABOUT HOST GREGORY MALOOF Gregory Maloof is a western Dharma teacher from the Ruth Denison lineage.
