3.46 The 3rd Intermediate Period Part 4: The 25th and 26th Dynasties

In this episode, I wrap up the 25th and make significant progress through the 26th Dynasties of the 3rd Intermediate Period. And, in the transition from the 25th to 26th, I have to backtrack, so the episode covers ancient Egypt between 664 to 589 BC. During this period, power shifted back from Nubia to the Delta region. Interactions with the Assyrians, Judeans, and Babylonians were frequent, and one of the Pharaohs, Necho the 2nd, merited several mentions in the Old Testament.
