3-6-23: Silence is golden

There is now doubt that there are lots of amazing things about living in our modern world. Access to information, entertainment, tremendous conveniences, but one of the drawbacks is the noise! Both literal noise from sirens, car horns, planes, tv, radio all of it and also the noise in our heads. Humans weren’t meant to live with that level of noise and stimulus. So it’s vital that we find time to enjoy some silence, and I found a great article from the Harvard Business Review by Justin Zorn and Leigh Marz called,  The busier you are the more you need quiet time. It shows through studies just how important silence is for the brain to heal, learn and absorb new information.
