President Joe Biden won Virginia’s Democratic Presidential primary last night with 89 percent of the vote. Former President Donald Trump defeated former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley to claim Virginia’s Republican presidential primary. Trump finished with 63 percent of the votes cast. Roanoke City Public School officials say a recently announced deal with new transportation provider, Zum, is for 5 years and worth 77 million dollars. Liberty University is set to pay a record fine after investigators say the school failed to disclose information on-campus crimes. It was once almost two weeks, then it was 5 days - now the CDC has again updated its recommendations on quarantining for COVID-19, also aligning those guidelines with other respiratory illnesses. One local nonprofit is taking initiatives to improve the Valley's natural spaces. Convenience store chain Wawa is reportedly moving ahead with plans to open a location at the corner of Graves Mill Road and the newly opened Rosedale Boulevard in Lynchburg.
