During this walk, Niccara explains how to use your business to generate cultural community impact.  California born and Baltimore bred, Niccara earned her Bachelor’s degree in African American studies from the University of Maryland, College Park. While at UMD, she was highly engaged in student life and within the local community. Her involvement included but was not limited to the National Council of Negro Women, Student Government Association, City Year, and Congressional Intern for the US House of Representatives. Her student leadership prepared her to pursue a career in the political zoo that is the District of Columbia. In 2015, Niccara founded the lifestyle brand, called “The Urban Tea”. The Urban Tea is a space to find the best of city living no matter the city, while also thriving and trying to find the light. Our guest is also the founder of Urban Charcuterie and Black Girls and Boards - two brands that center Black women and charcuterie boards.
