#3 Good investors ask when to sell. Great investors ask what to sell.
from Business News and Other Sh!t · host Amer Abdullah
Welcome to 'Business News and Other $#!T', I am your host Amer and thank you so much for tuning in to a show that has been called the perfect listen for busy fifth graders with ADD. I am an aspiring stand up comedian, improvisor and stay at home dad. In a previous life I graduated from the University of Chicago (cough - the Harvard of the midwest) with an A.B. in Economics and for 10 long years I worked as an Executive director for JP Morgan (cough - selling my soul). You may be asking why someone in their right mind with a wife and two kids would give up such a prestigious and profitable position to become a lowly comedian? And to that I would say uh because it's way more fun and maybe don't be such a jerk about it.... Our goal with the show is to entertain you with funny stories, jokes, and one liners about investing and hopefully make you a stronger and more financially secure young person. Basically we want to help you increase the size of your back up stash. Back up stash being that secret stash of money that keeps you afloat after you tell that horrible boss to get effed and/or you want to travel around South East Asia for 6 months. So join us every Thursday as we tell some funny stories, some jokes, have a good ol time, and maybe learn some important things. 3:00 Why a lifestyle brand? 13:00 Why is the GDP way up? 18:00 How much different would another country act if they were the largest economy in the world? 19:30 What role did our capitalistic propensities play in our becoming the #1 economy? 25:00 Things are changing on the policy front for these internet companies 30:00 Career change from investment banker to comedien 37:00 Trade War 43:00 Government Shutdown
