3: Humility Part 2 (Conflict Resolution God's Way)

from Biblical Counseling Podcast · host Jeff Christianson

In this episode, we wrap up our discussion on the topic of resolving conflict God's way on the subject of Humility. Humility is one of those things where if you seek the Lord to develop this in you, it will take you a long way. However, one thing that most often prevents conflicts from being resolved, is pride. Humility affects the way we respond to conflicts. Humility recognizes that God is in control of the achievements of our lives, and they are not primarily dependent upon ourselves – it frees us! Humility says God may have more to teach you. We want to beware of thinking too highly of ourselves, that's why we want to grow in humility. Finally, contentment is a key to resolving conflicts. Because contentment is a thing of maturity and spirituality, discontentment is a thing of the flesh. Think of how many conflicts can be resolved, or even avoided altogether by learning to be content with less! Get started on the right foot with your Biblical Counseling Training.
