Naida Avdić je članica GSS Sarajevo od 2012. godine. Ona je alpinistica i trail trkačica i prva i jedina žena iz BiH koja se u novembru 2023. popela na himalajski vrh, Ama Dablam, na 6812 m/nv. S Naidom razgovaramo o statusu žena u GSS službama u BiH, razlozima zbog kojih se priključila GSSu i na koji način miri svoje obaveze majke i supruge sa obavezama prema GSSu. Naida nam otkriva kako se pripremala za uspon na Ama Dablam, te što je sve bilo potrebno za dobivanje dozvola od nepalskih vlasti za penjanje na Ama Dablam. Također nam otkriva i kakvu hranu jedu Nepalci i drugi penjači na himalajskim planinama i zašto je mentalna kondicija i otpornost na krizne situacije, pored fizičke spremnosti, najvažnija karika na putu osvajanja himalajskih i drugih planinskih vrhova.
