Denn der EBICS-Standard wird kontinuierlich an neue Anforderungen angepasst. Mit der neuesten Version 3.0 gelingt es nun, alle bisherigen EBICS-Dialekte am europäischen Markt zu vereinheitlichen. Dies führt zu einer weiteren Vereinfachung im europäischen Zahlungsverkehr und eröffnet Banken und Softwareherstellern neue Märkte.
