In Proverbs 16:18, we’re warned, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”

This message explores three sides of pride: arrogance, insecurity, and selfishness. Through Acts 12:18–25, we see how arrogance declares, “I don’t need God.”Insecurity, though subtle, also reflects pride by doubting God’s love and elevating our own understanding—challenged in Romans 8:15. Lastly, selfishness puts us in God’s place, making everything about us.

God shows us the way to prevent our lives from falling apart. He invites us to acknowledge, repent, and take on a posture that seeks His glory—not our own.
