In Proverbs 16:18, we’re warned, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”This message explores three sides of pride: arrogance, insecurity, and selfishness. Through Acts 12:18–25, we see how arrogance declares, “I don’t need God.”Insecurity, though subtle, also reflects pride by doubting God’s love and elevating our own understanding—challenged in Romans 8:15. Lastly, selfishness puts us in God’s place, making everything about us. God shows us the way to prevent our lives from falling apart.
