Oh, it was amazing. I mean, I thought the response on the video was really good in the moment and the sound and the visual of the video, it was mind blowing. It was like a really big theatre, you know what I mean? And yeah, I mean the video was just, I think, beyond a lot of people's expectations and mind to you.
I knew it was going to be good, but when I saw it, I was like, that was really fun. Was that the first time you saw it? Yeah, yeah. I mean, any of it, I mean, I just maybe like, play back on the spot after you filmed the trick or something.
But I like watching it in the sparks. I like going to premieres like that one. It's like a nice surprise, you know what I mean? I mean, I've tried to go home, you know what I mean?
Like, where you've been editing videos and like, you're in kind of like, part of the whole thing, like how you want it and like, you know, take this trick out or switch it out or whatever, you know? But I think the surprise of it is better. So this compared to like, you know, one of the flippages, for example, would you be more involved with production and sort of things and do some tricks and stuff like that. That's what I meant.
Yeah, actually, when we did the story video, I didn't see it until the premiere either. I just like Fred, do his thing. Because when you're working with amazing people, you trust them to just do something rad with your footage, you know? And that was the same, I mean, with Russell who directed this video and did most of the cinematography or whatever, you just know he's good and he's on it.
So I had full faith in those dudes and that was the same thing working with Fred on the first video, you know? Like, it's just like, you know what it's amazing, he's going to kill it for you. It's not, it's not neat for me. My fucking amateur brain, whatever, go into some editing studio trying to tell them what to do, you know?
Yeah. So, yeah. So that's, I think I prefer it that way. Yeah.
Just like, sit down and go in and watch the movie for the first time, you know? Like, you get surprised and you kind of take everything in, like how you should take it in. Like, you don't have any like, it's called preconceived kind of thoughts on everything, how it is and everything. Nice surprise.
So with the, you know, the, you know, really good production value they've used for this video. You thought, for example, when they're using the drones and stuff like that, do you feel a bit more under pressure when you're doing the trick? So it seemed like you really need to make all of your videos. Yeah, the drones are a little weird.
And there's definitely like a lot of drone shots that got away from us too, you know what I mean? Like where it's like, all right, well fuck, it's behind. It's out of battery. Otherwise it's going to land on someone's house or we just didn't get the shot, like whatever, you know?
So, but yeah, that was like one of those things. You know what I mean? We just had Ant film and Ant Travis, like he would be like on the red on the ground and then Russell would be like standing in the corner looking at his remote control screen or whatever, you know what I mean? And kind of like, they really pay much attention to it, but just kind of to me.
And then I was like, oh, there's like fucking trying to do it right now, you know, but you kind of were sure that Ant's got a good angle already. So it's like the bonus thing flying up in the air, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. So do you have like a trick list?
No, no, not on the... I mean, yeah, no trick list because all the spots that I skate in this video is spots that I never skate before, you know what I mean? Like, there's a lot of pools which you go to pool, it's like, you don't know what it's like, you know, unless you like go back there and skate again, but most of the pools I think we skate in this, it's probably like virgin boy ash, you know, I think. And the same, like, have some stuff in New Zealand section of the trip that we went down there with Racher and everything.
And same thing, you just go into spots that you've never been to before, you know? So it's hard to have a trick list when you don't know the spot that you go into. Yeah, I mean, have you got some tricks, you know, for example, like, you know, last year or so that you wanted to get on film, you know, obviously just again, just kind of getting there. No, not for this one, this one was more like freestyle kind of like me, you know what I mean?
And so, for example, you roll up to a fresh bowl, you know, into before, what's your go to really comfortable tricks that you just feel, you know, the feel of how well it would you go to straight away? Oh, yeah, I don't know, it really depends on the pool, but the rock and roll is always good. It's like, I feel like that's a nice safe one for me, you know? Yeah.
Yeah, you know, you can get away with that most places and yeah, pools are so different. It's like, you can't really, you just got to like, attack everyone, kind of like how it is, it's not really, you know, you might have one pool where like the coping so shit, you can even grind it, you know what I mean? So then you got to do a trick where you're like, you have to do a little trick where you're sliding instead or you can only do something in the air, you know, like, or you might get one where there's a bunch of shit in the way, so you can't really grind it around, so then you have to try to do something straight up, straight down, you know, or whatever, you know, it's kind of, I don't know, I think it's probably like maybe a less you've skated pools or like a bunch of them, it's maybe like element that a lot of people don't really kind of understand or you don't see it when you're watching pool skating, like in videos and stuff, it's like, it's not just as easy as that, like, you know, like those little things that are in the way and you know what I mean? It's like skating weird street spots where it's like the accessibility to the actual thing you're doing is really tough, just getting there, you know what I mean?
So, yeah. Is there a particular part of the film, not necessarily someone's part of that particular part of the film, but you really enjoyed it? You really enjoyed it? Uh, Axel and Gaxon's part, Pure Part, which is, you know, I think that's one of the cool traits of this film too is it's so internationally diverse that you have a dude from Belgium and a dude from Australia sharing a part, you know, and it's, I think that's probably the part that blew me away the most.
It was the most kind of like, I really didn't expect it to be that mind blowing, like it was that fucking good. You know, like, everyone's great on the team and I expected everyone to have good parts but that one really, like, that was the one that was, you know, and Lewis' part, Lewis' part is insane and, and, and Don's as well, you know, but yeah, that was the one that kind of like, denies me more than anything. Yeah, cool. Was that the question was the one that from the front?
Exactly, yeah, you answered that exactly. Sometimes I just thought I'd get where the hell the question was. So, there's a firm bit of travelling with the, you know, with the video. Where that you liked it, you know, you really would like to go back to.
Well, yeah, I mean, yeah, New Zealand, the New Zealand trip was super rad. It was just cool. The people that were on it, you know, it was a thrasher trip and so it was like, Al Byrne, and he's the old, you know what I mean? It was just Grant, and Remy was there and he was like, you know, he was able to skate and like, it's rad shit, you know, that's in the video too.
So that's fucking, you know, like, it's rad, like the fucking, the boss, the boss man's in there, you know what I mean? So that's sick and like, you know, yeah, Pedro Grant fucking, Don was on it, you know what I mean? Fuck, yeah, we hit it on my side and on there and it was just a rad trip, it was fun, you know? And yeah, so, and it's beautiful down there, so, yeah, it's a good trip.
Awesome. So have you got any next project lined up? Any idea of a flat? No, like real video on actual projects, just like going on some trips and like, whatever, like bad road trip edits and whatever, kind of like, just travel a bit over the summer and yeah.
Just go on some stuff. Yeah, just go on the skate. All right, cool. So, um, so, uh, I'm asking everyone basically what their favourite board graphic is all the time.
So you can pick like, for example, for you, you can make one of your own and another flick one or you know, just a board it, it just stands out to you that you know, you've got comfortable underneath. That's a really tough question. A lot of good ones. Oh yeah, yeah, I've got a lot of stuff there.
But, um, you can think of it up ahead. Well, I kind of want to take it like back to like my childhood because one of the things that I've got to do is just go on the other side. You know, you can think of it up ahead. You know, you can make it like, well, I kind of want to take it like back to like my childhood because one that I was really into was like the first milligraphic.
I think it's the first one. But the one, and it's really, I look at it now and it's not like particularly rad but for me it's just like, I don't know, it's always like stood out in my mind. But it's one that all the little like, it's kind of weird. It has like all these like little men like that are like jumping around on this like, I don't even know if it's a fucking triangle or what it is.
It's like a weird, I don't know, that one, the old, old GNS Chris Milligraphing. Go on. That one's cool. I love like the one logo they had, it was like really kind of like rectangular, really wide one.
You said the word in Smith and it was like, kind of having these two curves on it. It was like, it's like the font and everything was rad. That's the one. Okay.
Last question. What do you think Harry's like, you know, the video is going to do for like, Vulcans legacy, you know, in terms of like a film? Oh, hopefully I'll like, you know, let everyone know that, you know, Vulcans are legit, you know, skateboard related company and we've been, you know, focused and this is very cliché, I need to say this, but true to this, you know, for, you know, like, I mean, I've been riding for Vulcan for over 20 years and they really are true to this and they are really dedicated to skateboarding and, you know, and supporting all these guys that are on the team right now and just making fucking solid garments that, you know, like the clothes are fucking good and you can wear them, you can fucking take that shit on the road and it's still a jet fucking skate company. You know, like, you know, the skater on and all that kind of bullshit.
I mean, there's not a lot of that. Exactly. But I think, you know, hopefully that's the thing that people remember that it's fucking bad, you know, and they support it and it's not easy to get all these people together and like, make solid project like this, you know what I mean? So, I think hopefully people will recognize that from Vulcan, they're committed to skateboarding, you know, and so, keeping the fucking, keeping the stoke out there, you know, keeping the stoke in the streets.
Yeah, are we still in my, was it really sorry when you had the, like, lot of stuff on the Vulcan, like that round vert ramp? Yeah, that's the first, the first story video, yeah. Sorry, but yeah, yeah. And that's another, and that's, that's, see, that's an excellent thing that you mentioned that because that's dedication to the skateboarding, you know, to skateboarding at that time.
Pretty much sounds kind of bratty right now, but it's like, they fucking built a skate park for a fucking vert ramp. Pretty much for me. Like, you know, there weren't, there was a couple other, these ones were a couple of the vert riders, they didn't live in California, I mean, Randy stated it himself or whatever, but they had all these were all spaced, whatever, it's like, yeah, this fucking go to the vert ramp, because fucking room, they're down the street and he's the place to fucking skate. You know, I mean, there's other stuff in there too, there's deep stuff, you know, and they still have a skate park to this day, you know, where they have the damn M concert and stuff, you know.
So, that's, that's just like part of the dedication to, to the skateboarding, you know. And that's, that was 15 years ago, they were doing that shit, you know what I mean? Whereas you may have, whatever, some like big companies that come in now and like build a skate park somewhere, whatever, and like, try to claim it, you know, but, well, it's been behind that shit for a long time. And hopefully people will recognize that through this video.
So, I could always watch like, like, all four one one videos where it would do like, you know, like, a spot check sort of deal. And that was always, you know, because that skate park was quite, you know, it was awesome. It was, you looked at it, it was like, you wanted to go there. Is that the same for you when you, when they're doing the whole go-in process for you, they're for that or did you, was it already in place for you?
Yeah, no, no, no, I mean, they, I fucking, I helped design that very, very, very, very important. I came up with the concept of like, you know, like, angling in the extensions like that, like, that's like my idea, like, my design. Like, I made that up and then somehow that's like in, well, you don't see on every VRA these days. We see a lot of fucking VRA.
It kind of makes the VRS twice as wide as it is, because you kind of like go to one end and you have that little angle and then that shoots you right back the same way where you came from. So that was the idea was to like, because we didn't have a lot of space in there. Well, I mean, it was decent, but it wasn't like, fuck, we're just gonna like build 500 feet and we're out of the way. It was like an intense change to why, or something, you know.
Yeah. But, you know, you made that little angle on it and all of a sudden it seems like, well, I was getting fucking 20 sheets, because I'm going full speed one way as wide as I can go. And then I hit this and then on the next wall I go just as wide back, you know, like front side back side. You know what I mean?
Like, go back the other way. Is there a question? Where do we come from? Oh, no, we've just, yeah, we've got a lot of questions.

That was the biggest theater. It was definitely the most. I enjoyed it. And it was obviously the first one too.
But it was definitely a... That was a stalker. There's a lot of people there. It's going to show that I was in like your own.
It's a good time. Yeah. And people kept streaming throughout the whole movie. Every trip was like, ah, that's 60 minutes of streaming.
That's a whole lot of my experience. I mean, the video is pretty mind-blowing. It's just like hammers. It's like blah, blah, blah, blah.
The level of skating is so gnarly that it's like... It's like... Yeah, it keeps you in touch. Cool.
The New York one, there was some issue with that. It was something he said that... How was projected onto the screen? The car was projected.
Yeah, they projected it a little bit too tight. So something kind of cut off. Yeah, it was in the full image. It was in the whole image.
It was in the whole image. I mean, it's all right. I mean, I don't know how many people actually noticed it. Because they've never seen the video.
People that know the video and know the footage. So they'll be like, you know. But I think people still enjoy it. A couple of people might be able to tell it.
It was pretty bad. Cool. So how was the film in the process for you in general? I mean, I had a couple of tricks.
I just had all the skills for the movie. I was mostly a cameraman throughout the process. I was behind a still camera. And then occasionally I was like, I'm in the succession of the camera.
I was like, I'm in the same game. I have a couple of tricks. I spread out the video. But I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I was like, I'm tired.
I'm like, I'm shooting. Yeah, I remember. I'm not sure what video it was. I was watching when you eat your wedding.
You have to blow everything up. You say what I'm saying. I still like to occasionally do some bigger prints. I'm not sure what it was.
I can't remember what it was. It was easier when you just only open up your computer. It has to be good this way. I liked it a bigger thing.
I like doing bigger prints. I got a bigger print. There's something about it. It just brings to life.
I don't like what I'm actually going to do. I'm like, what am I supposed to do? 60 by 20. That's for sure.
An inch is 60 by 20. Yeah. Yeah. But I just have to put all those in there.
I have done some messy ones too. It's great. The biggest one is 90 by 60 inches. I'd say 60 inches.
It's actually two prints together and mounted. It's more or less. Yeah. It's a little bit more.
It's a little bit more. It's a little bit more. But it's right. When you actually see this, it's kind of a wall.
But it all depends what space it is to obviously. Yeah. You wouldn't want to make it. That's a little bit more.
I've heard a show of this a big office space. If you've got the space. Yeah. Space of means.
I want to see my show. So how is it like, people with the new production value in terms of like drones and big 4K cameras. I mean, is it a change of volume in terms of like getting the footage or is it still pretty much the same as it would be, you know, with that whole school. You know, the actual feature.
I mean, you have to, I mean, the 4K's and the cameras, they work a little bit on the X for the same time. I don't know if the changes are provided that much. I mean, yes, they are a little different. But it's also a lot to do with the camera, right?
Or to do with the tool. Yeah. It is a little bit different. I can't rely on different things.
The focus is obviously a little bit harder to do. Keep everything focused on the lines and stuff. In terms of, you know, for me, I'm such a geek. Like, I'm totally down with it.
There's a time for drones and time production power. It all depends what the project holds. Yeah. That's the only thing about it.
It's funny that people are like, die-hard VX fans. It's just like, dude. Okay. You just don't want an iPhone with all your clip and just put bass in on the lines.
I think that's your, the X-ray. It doesn't mean, you know, VX is not some magic. It's total other. It's definitely not what you're trying to do.
It's just, you know, it's fine. You know, this is fine. Whatever. Whatever gets you there at the same time.
I don't want to. Yeah. I mean, if VX is the phone, it's not a funny piece of skate or so. You're most likely going to get better footage other than trying to be my pickle.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
The lot of guys from, we are blind when they're filming that. They were saying, I mean, I'm all in the top of the production map. But they were saying that, you know, there's a lot of pressure. You know, there was a, I think, a story I was doing, like, a shot over at a gig.
And they were doing a drone of that. And they were, maybe, I think a drone for us. It was like, you've really got that. What a shot.
I was going to take another two hours to come around and get that shot again. So, it was more pressure on there. I mean, we weren't doing like crazy shots like that, but it was definitely like, yeah, I mean, you only get a few minutes. The drone batteries only last for like, like, five, ten minutes.
So, it's got that amount of time if you shoot something with that. So, obviously, you got to think about it a little bit. It adds a certain pressure, but I think like sometimes it's good. Like, at an age, you can shoot photos and film and film.
It also like, okay, you want to see us? I got five rolls of film. You got to know, like, these five rolls. So, actually, it puts you, it puts the pressure on, you send, like, a fish shit.
I got ten tries. I make this. Two tries of roll, whatever, if he doesn't just blaze through the whole roll. The pressure is on, let's do this.
So, in a way, it's kind of good to know that either all day is, you know, just tapping it. Or, just firing it. That's good. Yeah.
So, let's say you just roll up to the spot. What is your set set set set or what you're going to? What would you like to, what would you like to, always an OLEO? What do you mean?
As you like to do a set set set, do you just, you know, if you're going to go for a switch strategy, that's your trick. Do you always start with OLEO or do you just, I'm like a switch OLEO or do you know what you're doing? What's more like your, your format? I mean, to get that trick.
At least, at least, at least, at least, I just, I just take a seat. I mean, I'm like, what's the young guys jump? Yeah. But, like, sorry, that you do know that.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it all depends on the set of stairs, whether it's steep or long or flat or like what, kind of what the ratio is, like, I don't know.
I guess I was like going to think of this. I was like, what's next, like, those are kind of like, I'll do. Yeah. Yeah.
Start off with one of those. And all the set looks like, yeah, that's probably OLEO's and such. A lot of these. No.
So, it's like that. Yeah. It all depends on this. Okay.
Like, I've had a, like, a part of film. There's not to be someone's part, but is there a part of film you particularly enjoy, you know, like a secret or an etude? Yeah. I mean, I think Luyi's part fucking it.
He's brilliant. Is that a bit of bias there enough? Maybe. But once you see it, and you're like, all this stuff, like that, it's a bit, Luyi's part flow.
He's got some weird tricks. He's got some new weird shit that he does. It's a good combination of different things. And, uh, Luyi's part is one of my favorites for sure.
Don's part is incredible. I mean all of it is in Black Banner, he's got some grand shit. Like all the transition bars, head to the rooms, Omar, like they got their thing going on. You know, I was following Grant Axel.
Like the old, like the whole team, like they all bring a different thing to the table. Alec, you know, is not a flip writer. He's got some heavy whale shit. Or you know, it's a standard to do a watch or whole kinker.
It's insane what they're doing. You know, the way that you see that. As a whole, like right now, I mean, I've only seen it twice. I've only seen the video twice.
And we'll always part keeps popping into my head. I really like that. Just the combination of everything. For me, it just works.
But all of it is, I'm doing great. Is it more troubling? Evolve for the video? Yeah, there was last year when we were doing, I was on the road basically two weeks on, two weeks off throughout the whole year.
I was on the road and then they would send some other photographer in and Bart was doing a lot of it. So they were rotating. The fan in the US just wasn't there. The fan never came back.
He just kept going on different crews and get shipped into it and changed out and shipped into it. I would get to come home for a little bit chill and pop on another trip and whatever news you want, Australia, Europe, Europe. I was eating some of that favorite places. Yeah, New Zealand was red.
And that was more like crusty parts in old school, weird transition bits and whatnot. And New Zealand was just beautiful. And Lee Ralph, me and her tour guide and stuff. That was like, it was felt perfect.
It was totally hand. I was able to have it there as well. Yeah, that felt good. It was there.
It was insane. Put it this way, there was never a dull moment. Yeah, I couldn't imagine. It was just carnage.
So after you know, you just go down, everybody projects lined up, or your way is kind of shooting in your ways. Yeah, yeah. For this couple months it's going to be pretty busy. I think even though the US kind of Melov is home for a few months and whatever.
Doing some stuff. I'm going to put a little trick with Thomas Campbell. He's shooting the skate movies. I've sang out with him and a couple of bros.
And that is being pretty Melov. But this ends in Madrid, this junior tour. And the new balance guys fly in the day after the premiere. So we start a skate trip from Madrid and we go to the best country and it's part of the crew go south.

I'm working on this mustard graphic right now. This is my personal favorite, my own graphic that's coming out. I'm the next bachelor. I'm the next bachelor series.
When it comes to my personal graphics, I think last year, whatever, I've been doing. It's been a photo series. All my boards have been photographed. That's been probably my favorite of all graphics of all time.

I would write a 775 and then 18 on where he'd go to an A and then an 825 and then an 85 and now I'm writing a nine inch lens for it. But also, I think it's, yeah, I think generally, maybe people were writing a little something like that. People were writing a little skater board, it's like the end of 90s, early 2000s maybe.
