“New Testament Giving” • 1st Corinthians 16:1-4 – Elder Bryce Lowrance. In the closing to the letter to the Corinthians, the Apostle Paul instructs them to take up a collection to help the struggling saints in Jerusalem. Using this instruction, Elder Bryce teaches principles of New Testament giving. Paul links giving to worship. He says that it is the responsibility of every member. The amount we should give is a matter of faith between the individual and the Lord. And finally, organizations such as mission societies are not needed to fulfill their obligations.
