30 Años del álbum Cherry Pie de Warrant

from Ruta 89: Un viaje sonoro a los 80s y 90s

El álbum "Cherry Pie" de la banda de hard rock estadounidense Warrant, fue lanzado el 11 de septiembre de 1990, es el segundo álbum de estudio de la agrupación y el más exitoso. En principio la canción escogida para dar título al disco iba a ser "Uncle Tom’s Cabin", sin embargo, la productora no estuvo de acuerdo con Jani Lane vocalista de la banda y le exigió componer otro tema. De ahí que en 15 minutos compuso la emblemática canción homónima del álbum "Cherry Pie" cuyo contenido fue cuestionado por tener un carácter machista y mostrar el acercamiento del frontman de la banda con la modelo Bobbie Brown quien aparecía en el video de la canción y quien luego sería su esposa.
