30. Beloved -I Am Unto My Beloved

from The Jewish Mind · host Rabbi Avrohom Lipszyc

"I am unto my beloved and my beloved is unto me." The verse speaks of two different relationships. One is the person below reaching up to G-d, our Beloved, and the other is G-d reaching out to us below. The first relationship is the pre-High Holiday experience, when we search our heart and return to G-d. The second relationship is the High Holidays, when G-d's presence reaches out to us. However, a keener understanding of our 'Beloved' relationship with G-d will reveal that even when we are reaching out to G-d, G-d's reaching out to us already exists! This lecture will reveal why G-d allows for a person to sin. It will also reveal why G-d allows for the purity of a man's soul and heart to be covered with layers upon layers of impurity. Listen, learn, and enjoy!
