#30 Refuse to live a Default Life

from The EXTRAORDINARY Family Life Podcast · host Greg and Rachel Denning

"We do not rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training." - Archilochus  We automatically become who we do not want to be as human beings. How?  By never moving away from default.  When somebody provokes us, we react and get angry.  When things don't go how we wanted them to we get frustrated.  When somebody is rude, we are rude back.  This is our automatic reaction to many different situations in life.  By default we become who we do not want to be.   To rise from that, you have to be deliberate!  You have to learn how to make calmness your reaction when someone is angry at you.  Walk the higher road. We want to be outstanding above the normal roads everyone takes.  We have to set goals, make our self do hard things to be better and tougher.  Input = output.  What actions are we taking to make ourselves better?  Do we know what we are going to work on every single day?  We should have stressful times, then recovery - over and over again.  We reach higher and higher until we can be cool, collected and strong under huge amounts of pressure.  We improve ourselves. Switch off automatic, map out your plan to who you want to be and work to get there! Other Resources:  Challenging the limiting beliefs that hold you back You can play the Victim or be the Leader, but you Cannot be Both. How your fears are Sabotaging your opportunities
