30. Revelation 6:1-2 (2-10-21)

from Calvary Chapel Elk Grove Wednesday · host Pastor Phil Ballmaier

Revelation 6:1-2 Pastor Phil Ballmaier The Book of Revelation 2021 2-10-21 Join Pastor Phil Ballmaier of Calvary Chapel Elk Grove as continues to teach verse-by-verse through The Book of Revelation on Wednesday nights. Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational fellowship in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Up until this point, Jesus had addressed the seven churches. With innumerable legions of angels gathered around, praising The Father, God gave the Apostle John a glimpse of His glorious throne. That despite all of the apocalyptic imagery He would soon reveal for those separated from Him, that God was and IS still on the throne... Now, as we open up the 6th Chapter of Revelation, the Apostle John witnesses Jesus opening the first seal. He sees a rider on a white horse. Many misunderstand who this rider is. Join Pastor Phil as he continues to dig in-depth in the Book of Revelation. We will soon see the judgments of God being poured out on those separated and refusing to follow The Almighty God. "Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see." And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer." Revelation 6:1-2 We meet at our new location at 975 E. Nerge, Suite N-140 in Roselle. C.S. Lewis's The Last Battle St. Philip's Church: Charleston, SC Come join us on Wednesday nights as we explore the riches of C.S. Lewis’s marvelous book The Last Battle, which is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia. It is a remarkable book on multiple levels and was awarded the Carnegie Medal back in the 1950s when it was first published. The Last Battle has some themes in common with The Great Divorce and That Hideous Strength that will make it an excellent follow-up to those two books, and like them, it has some remarkable resonance with things going on in today’s culture. It is a book that is both theologically rich and poignantly beautiful in its writing, and it can help equip us to live boldly for Christ in a culture that has lost its way. (Although this book is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia, it can stand on its own and it is not necessary to have read the other books for this class.) Thessalonians Study (Wednesday Night) Justapreacher Ministries This small-group study of the books of first and second Thessalonians started in September, 2023, and ended in April, 2024. In it, Jim addresses many aspects of the Christian life, with a focus on the end times. NWC Sunday Sermons Northwest Chapel We are a Christian podcast that aims to inspire and encourage listeners in their spiritual journey and deepen their understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Ascending Life Radio Josh Blevins Pastor Josh Blevins is the Senior Pastor at Grace Calvary in Saint Joseph, MO. His down-to-earth, straightforward style of teaching helps bring God's word to life.
