#30: Supermom of Five on Releasing Guilt & Celebrating Self-care with Simone Angell

from The Anna Rova Show · host Anna Rova

Simone had been breastfeeding for pretty much six years straight. She is a mom of five children - 4 of them below the ages of 5. It’s an incredible story of getting pregnant against all the odds again and again, and becoming a superhero mom. Simone shares the struggled she went through, the joy and the surprises, as well as the desperation and the stress. Although Simone had always wanted to be a mom, she hadn't prepared herself for such a wild ride. Having broken down a couple of times, Simone decided to stop the vicious and quite depressing cycle of washing nappies, loading the dishwasher, cleaning the house and taking care of everyone else, and decided to start taking care of herself first. She gets up at 4:30 AM every day and hits the gym and takes a weekly day off with her husband. After getting so many questions about how she “does it all,” she had started a blog sharing how she actually “doesn’t do it all” and is not trying to anymore. Her most important advice to mothers is to start saying NO because not everyone really needs a Christmas card from you or your child. The importance of self-care is paramount for keeping Simone sane and for keeping her family happy. She doesn’t feel guilty anymore for taking days off and sometimes even vacation time without her kids. It gives her time to rejuvenate, gain energy and be present with her family. Join us for an incredible conversation where Simone also shares the top tools & resources she uses in her daily life to stay happy and productive, including: 1 inspiring TEDx talk from a supermom and career boss lady who will help you drill through the mental clutter and get what you want 1 Instagram account to follow for daily inspiration to keep you motivated 1 must-have book on settling establishing routines for your baby 2 excellent books to become your best self and train your brain Check these at www.girlskill.com/30 P.
