Episode 30-The Babysitter Who Never Came Home-The Disappearance of Evelyn Hartley Evelyn Hartley was a 15 year old high school honor student from La Crosse, Wisconsin, who vanished without a trace on the night of October 24, 1953. The was babysitting for a local family while they attended a homecoming game. When Evelyn failed to call home to check in, he went to the house and found it locked, the lights and radio on, and Evelyn’s shoes, glasses, and school books were scattered inside. A window was found pried open, and signs of a struggle were evident-including broken glasses and blood both inside the house and in the yard.
