IBC (Integral Business Core) at BYU Idaho is a marvelous opportunity for students to get a taste for what starting a business is like. I personally learned tons from doing it back inSpring 2018) with my company, Outdoorish. This episode was recorded back in Fall 2019, so all of the students that were in IBC when this was recorded have finished it now. I hope it helps you out and gives you some ideas.I'm always open to DM's on Facebook and Instagram. I'm sure many of these people who gave me these tips would be glad to help you too! :)1. Get to know your team - You are with the team you are with for a reason - God has a hand in everything.2. Get to know your Sensei! - He can help you more than you now know. Brother Lundin has personally helped me so much.3. Prayer - God 4. Treat your teammates well.5. Begin with the end in mind - 6. Ask questions! - You can ask anyone in IBC or the Sensei's (even me) questions7. Make the most of it - Make IBC look good for the people that will follow after you. - Be different.8. Do what you need to do to give your best to IBC - make a system to make it happen. And don't hide any of your talents - put them to work!9. "Be involved and go beyond. I was sharing it on social media and that led to an increase in our customers and sales. Do more than what people expect you to do." -Marcelo10. "Set daily goals and have cross training to make sure that you're doing what is best for your business." -Julius11. Get data to backup all of your marketing and R&D ideas - Brenton12. Planning is key but execution is king. -Trent Winn13. Give it your all, Treat everyone with respect and love. From the second you meet those people you're creating a relationship with them -Cole Kibler14. Don't think of IBC as just a class. Embrace the structure of the course and you'll learn a lot about the outside world. -Cole Kibler15. IBC is a great platform to try new things, so just go for it! The school is invested in your growth and learning -Amber16. Be patient, open-minded, and understanding going into IBC. This class is very different than most classes. Get to know your teammates on a personal level. 17. Remember Christ's example of service and at the end of the day it's still a class. Have fun; make memories.18. I feel like God has a hand with who is in your group. They may test your patience or not, it's beneficial either way -Amber19. With my team we all started with the goal of getting an "A" in the class. We cut the fluff and got right to work from the get-go and organized ourselves by group... -Adam, Lit Candles20. "You need to have honest conversations with yourself and what you're giving to the company."  -Brenton at Toasties21. Spend a lot of money on marketing in the beginning. There will be more weeks of usefulness for these things if you get them out early. 22. Remember that everyone is learning and that you cannot expect perfection.23. Respect your CEO.
