30 Years of VST: Are The Classics Still Useful?

Steinberg is celebrating 30 years of VST by bringing back a collection of its classic early plugins, so we've downloaded them and we're going to see what they're actually like to use today.We'll be demoing the sounds, having a play with the instruments and effects, and talking about what these early VSTs were actually useful for.But rather than just looking at them as pieces of music-production history, we're interested in whether the limitations of these old plugins might actually be interesting today.Do simple instruments make you work differently? Have modern plugins become too complicated?
