#304: The More Active I Get In My Religion, The Harder It Is To Avoid Pornography

Caller Dan's Question: "Why does my desire to view pornography increase as I become more religious? I have noticed a 1:1 relationship with my religiosity and desire to view pornography, and as I serve more at Church I find I am more stressed and seek to cope in unhealthy ways. It often feels like a need to establish equilibrium before or after being particularly religious. I have gone through pornography addiction therapy, and during that time I pulled away from service in the Church as I found it to be a bitter experience, as I was evaluating my core beliefs and relationship with God. Over time, I have become more and more religious, to where recently I was asked to serve in a high-demanding position, which I had not been in since prior to my therapy several years ago.
