His father Earl Sinks was a celebrated singer-songwriter and actor who was the lead singer of The Crickets for a time. Some of the artists who have recorded the songs of B. Earl Sinks include Wayne Toups, Clinton Gregory, Kathy Louvin, Jimmy Griffin, Sonny Marshall and others.
