306. A Gospel Word Picture Part 3

Welcome back to the kitchen table! Today, Bethany is sharing another word picture to help you have gospel conversations with your little ones. This time, we’re talking about water. Think about when you wash your hands or take a bath. Water cleans the dirt off, just like Jesus washes away our sins. 1 John 1:7 tells us that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, and Titus 3:5-6 reminds us that it’s not by anything we do, but by His mercy that we are washed and renewed. As your child grows to know Jesus as their Savior, they will start to see the places where they fall short. Just like water cleans our hands, Jesus cleans our hearts. So next time your little one washes their hands, remind them: Jesus washes our hearts, just like water washes our hands.
