Ishmael yelled for Peter Coffin to come to rescue. Harpooner was called Queequeg, a South Sea Island aboriginee. Peter came to rescue and explained Queequeg was a good man who never hurt anyone. The two went to sleep peacefully. After breakfast, all the rest sailors were gone and Queequeg was the only one left at the bar. Ishmael started friendly gesture by suggesting he wouldn't mind a smoke. The two exchanged Queequeg's pipe and the bond was formed. Queequeg placed his forehead against Ishmael's and promised he would die for Ishmael. Time to depart. Q started worshipping his god again.
