Moby Dick 4 Ishmael and Queequeg became bosom friends. Queequeg was from Kokovoko island, South Sea. Queequeg was a prince and many of whose uncles in mother's side were brave fighters. Q adores western civilization when he was young. After he had been turned down by captain of the first whale boat to Kokovoko, he smuggled himself onto the ship anyway. Captain took him for his courage. Ishmael asked Queequeg to come with him to whale-hunting. Monday we left Spouter Inn and went onboard Moss. In the open sea, a white young man showed his despise toward Queequeg. Queequeg lifted the young man in air and threw him on the ground. Young man cried for help to the captain. Captain came and warned Queequeg not to venture provocative gesture. Strong gust tore canvas of the main mast. bow 船首 (1 - 16) boom 船帆下桁 (1 - 7) The boom of the main mast swivels across the bow. People scattered for life. The young man fell overboard by the gust of wind. Queequeg knelt and crawled along the deck. Queequeg tucked himself under the boom and tied the end of the rope to one end of the boom. Then he crawled to the other side to secure the other end of the boom. Queequeg ran to the side of the ship and pulled off his shirt and flung himself into the sea. Queequeg swam hard and ducked under the water and fetched the drowning young man out of the sea. Then Queequeg dragged the young man toward the ship. Everybody helped to pull the two men onto the deck. Everybody was impressed by the bravery of Queequeg. Captain apologized to Queequeg. They arrived safely at Nantucket. Nantucket was an obsolete sand island far out from South America in Atlantic Ocean. -- Hosting provided by SoundOn
