308. When I Think I Have It All Handled

from The Warrior Mama Podcast

Welcome back to the kitchen table. As moms, we often feel the weight of the world on our shoulders, believing we need to be in control and have everything figured out. Sometimes, we see that same desire reflected in our kids—they want to be independent, handling things themselves, from getting dressed to buckling their car seats. Even when they don’t quite have it under control, they want to. Just like them, we sometimes believe we need to have it all under control, forgetting that we’re not meant to. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast our anxieties on him because he cares for us. God doesn’t call us to handle it all, but to trust in his plan. He’s actively engaged in our lives, caring for us deeply. This is the heartbeat of God. We can rely on him, casting our worries and burdens, knowing he’s working with us and for us. We don’t have to do it all alone.   Connect with Bethany hereFollow her on Instagram @bethanykimsey Stop feeling defeated in your motherhood.
