After a trip to South America where AJ ran educational programs she returned to Australia and began Seaside Scavenge in 2014.Since 2015, Seaside Scavenge has hosted eco-action festivals where litter collected from local waterways becomes a currency in a pop-up market to purchase pre-loved clothes and goods that have been donated by the local community. Added to the days features are a line-up of local musicians, talks and stalls hosted by local community groups working in waste reduction and environmental conservation.Most recently they have added the Looped Festival which connected over 209 Sydney-siders with 11 growing circular brands who shared their knowledge and passion for the circular economy and a cleaner planet.
