31. Erin Cunningham: The Circular Economy of Tennis Balls - Intersection of Tennis, Sustainability, and Social Impact

Erin Cunningham is a Social Impact Executive at RecycleBalls. Erin has been creating magic by integrating partnerships and programs that are more than the sum of their parts with the most prominent nonprofits in the country, such as the YMCA and Boys and Girls Club of America, and the largest corporations in the world, such as Microsoft, Walmart, Coca-Cola, Gap Inc. CVS, AT&T, and Best Buy. She worked with the World Economic Forum and Uplink to create a global challenge elevating tech solutions to support young people and their mental health. RecycleBalls is a national player-driven initiative to reuse and recycle all tennis balls. They are the first organization in U.S. tennis history with a large-scale collection solution for all played tennis balls in this country. Their patented QUICKSHIP bin/program is the simplest way for individuals and facilities around the nation to recycle tennis balls. Not only does the program provide pre-paid shipping, but it also provides a tax donation for every ball donated. RecycleBalls created Green Gold in 2017. This unique crumb rubber product, made from tennis balls, can be easily incorporated into many existing processes. This rubber product was the result of developing a process that removes 99% of the felt from tennis balls in a cost-effective manner. In February 2019, Recycleballs was one of four nonprofits nominated as an environmental finalist in the prestigious 2019 Halo Awards. This episode talks about:❤️‍🔥 Erin's path to scaling social impact 🎯Recycle Balls mission⁉️ Why should we recycle tennis balls🤝 How can you helpDon't forget to recycle your 🎾🎾🎾, find your passion ❤️, and be intentional bout the change you want to create in this world 🌎Send us Fan MailLEORÊVER COMPRESSION AND ACTIVEWEARGet 10% off Loerêver Balanced Compression and Activewear to elevate your confidence and performance8 EIGHT SLEEPSave $200 on 8Sleep and get better quality and deeper sleep with automatic temperature adjustmentTESLAUse my referral link for Tesla and get up to $250 off and 3-months of Full Self-Driving CapabilityDisclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.
