Right there, mate. Well, we're back. We're back. We're back.
We're glad to say that for this one, because we're not infringing on nightclubs territory. No, because we actually are back. We've been away from it. They say it, but they're there every week.
We've gone away for a while, and now we're back. So it makes sense. Yeah, we have to make sense, Chris, for a bit. Yeah, so issue number 31, mate.
Yep. 30 fucking one. We'll get up there. We'll get up there.
And we looked at the analytics today. We've done all right. We're still not going to tell you how many people have been listening to us at this radio, but it's all right. Yeah, we've got the class.
Well, you can line us up, mate. Well, we've got a fan favorite, haven't we? Jump and ship. Is this part?
Is this a third jumpy ship? Yeah, I think there's a third jumpy ship. That's too much, isn't it? Really?
But we'll get into it. We'll get into it. Let's play the theme tune. And let's go.
OK. Right, mate. Jumping ship 2019. What'd you prefer?
2019. What'd you like? I'd like a 2019. 2019.
OK, yeah. So jumpy ship 2019. Big deal, right? Big deal.
We've got some big names with this one. Well, I'll start you off with Myles Silvers. Yeah, this is interesting. Isn't it?
Very interesting. Very interesting. Because you've got something, you know, I'm not going to classify him in the top 10 scare at the world. But somebody's kicking ass and is very, very good.
And I'm a bit of wood, right? Yeah, he's very good. He's very good. And yeah, he was with numbers, costs in a mariano's company.
You don't really get to see a lot of. And we can get a little bit deeper into that. And that might be the reason why Myles wanted to jump. But, you know, he fucked knows.
But yeah, he has numbers. And he gets the call from P-Rod and he jumps like a frog. You would, I think. Because, I mean, he did touch upon it.
Numbers. They just aren't putting out the videos. They're such a prestigious brand with cost in a mariano. But I feel like they don't do enough with it.
And like with the board graphics, they're really inconsistent. So like, one release, it'll be these clean, nice symmetric shapes. And then the other is some weird, calligraphy-y guy. Yeah, so like, you know, at the moment in the Oxford Skate Co., we've got the, it's like Japanese photographer collection, which is coherent.
They've all got it and all kind of make sense. Yeah, we kind of like that sort of shit. But there's another collection. It's more kind of like, we'd say pop up.
It's just kind of more clinical graphic art sort of style of pictures, which they're clean graphics. But it's like it's saying, you know, why- No consistency. Or they're standard, you know, what they're actually like standard look, it's- No. Because we thought they knew what it was.
And then they changed. Yeah. They've never had that original look since. I mean, don't be wrong, the boards are immaculate.
Do you know what I mean? They are very, very good boards. Perky is a motherfucker. But yeah, my old smile was jumping.
When P-Rod calls. You take that, I mean, P-Rod has been making some calls. Like, it's phone bills got to be up. Yeah, I know.
I hope he's got unlimited min. No, yeah, he's got the old cricket. Wireless, whatever. I mean, primitive have got a ridiculous team now.
Oh, yeah. They ain't stopping. No. No way they're stopping.
I mean, like, who's next on primitive? Is Robert Neil Pro yet? Has he turned pro? No.
No, he hasn't. I mean, tell me which way he didn't cover it. So, you know, anything happened within the last, like, six months or so actually hasn't happened. Until we say it's happened.
Yeah, exactly. You haven't heard it here first on so much radio. It doesn't, just because some guy in thrasher tells you something in a little studio, you know, with a TV behind him or whatever. That means shit.
It's Turbo Swatch Radio. So you check out Turbo News. If it's not on Turbo News, which has only got like one article, maybe two. So two articles.
Yeah, sorry, John. Yeah, there's two articles on Turbo News, right? If it's not on there, it doesn't exist. I think the only thing that's happened to every history is Tori Pubber, leaving Pambi.
Tony Hawk getting the shit. Yeah, so that's the only two things. But you can find out about that shit at Turbo Swatch Radio.com. Anyway, back to Miles.
You know, I'm going to summarize this. I think it's a good move for him. Oh, definitely. You know, numbers, I would love to be a part of a company with Costan.
Absolutely love it. Love to be skating with him. But it didn't even seem like they were skating together. You know what I mean?
You couldn't see it too much. No. It seems like everyone is just doing their own thing. Yeah.
Which is cool. It's about, I think, a team, the team. Yeah, whereas the primitive guys, they're always going on tour. It looks like they are genuinely skating with each other.
Yeah, I think they probably are. Yeah. So, well, should we just really leave Miles now? We've covered that.
I mean, I think everyone's going to like, you know, you can't get it, that one. That one makes sense. You can't even have that one. Well, let's jump to, well, we've got two goats, haven't we?
We've got two goats. But let's go to Chris Cole. Let's go to Chris Cole, OK? Because this one's just interesting, you know, he's been on Plan B for how long was it?
Like four years, I think, something like that. About four years. No longer. No longer.
Three to four years. Something like that. Big time moves. Obviously, left 0 after the whole dwindle shit, I think.
Did his own little board company. You know, was it just Chris Cole's own name thing? He did that for a little bit. Then he jumped, you know, round Plan B, which we thought, you know, works, you know, East Coast sort of brand.
Well, at the time there was the DC link and stuff went there with Danny Way. Yeah, exactly. It felt East Coast in it. It probably East Coast for shit.
But yeah, and now we hear that Chris Cole was just, and the sister, before only she's left Plan B as well. No way. I don't know that. Yeah, she's gone as well.
What? Yeah. And you thought she's hot property, right? 100%.
But where is she going to? Fuck knows. Yeah. Well, I mean, when I mess with you saying about Chris Cole, I mean, you don't reckon he's going anywhere.
I think he's going back to zero, to be honest. What is that? Because I think zero just at the right place now, their own company again, they distribute themselves and things, I think it will be a good vibe for Chris Cole to go back. He's always skating with Dane Burmett.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Him and the chief still seem to be on good terms. He's back and fallen. Like, I think he's just reverted back to 10 years ago.
Yeah, you got some good points. I just, and would zero taken back? Of course I can win his Chris motherfucking Cole. If Chris Cole wins, I was like, can I ride for you?
Just imagine me as a permit as well. Just the power play. He's like the best skater of all time. Would he suit primitive?
No, but he gives a fuck his Chris Cole. Well, I didn't think he suits Chris. He's crazy to think it as well, right? You know, all the animals sent they first board.
Well, Chris Cole, you've got his animal lined up ready. This is Instagram handle. Yeah, exactly. So, you know, otherwise, they don't have to think too hard.
And then Chris Cole's going to be skating your boards. I mean, Pete Rocker fucksate. Hooker brother, but yeah, he does not suit. It doesn't work for me.
Zero is about you. They were taken. I don't know if Cole would go zero. But then again, he's gone back to fall.
Yeah, I mean, it's a tough one because with the ball companies out there at the moment. And here is, I don't know. What about Santa Cruz? You're thinking Tom Lester, aren't you?
I don't know. When you come on now, there's a possibility. There is a possibility. But I don't know.
I don't think he suits Santa Cruz. Do you think it's a Tomaster? Suits Santa Cruz? Every time I see him skating the Santa Cruz board.
What are you doing? I see him skating the Santa Cruz board. He was getting a ball deal with a hockey board. And I was like, is that fucking hockey?
Because you know, you're kind of waiting for it. You're waiting for it to be a ball. You know, Santa Cruz legendary company with awesome graphics. But you've got to fit a bit of the money, you know?
Who else? Who else? Could it be on hockey FA? No.
No, he's too chilled for that shit. He didn't give a fuck. Well, doesn't he need a board company? No, he doesn't.
There's two chains of thought that you go with. He could do the same thing as he did before when he left zero. Because he did just his own kind of... I don't know if I had a name.
A myth thing? No, no, that's a like dis invite company. No, no, he did. He did his own boards for a little bit.
He did like a Christmas board, like a Chris Cole Black series board or something like that. Oh yeah, I remember. So you could do that. You could not even worry about it as well.
Yeah, have you seen these stomp session things? Yeah, yeah. Well, they're going on the O'Brayle shit. And everyone's trying to...
Even Shane O'Neill was on his Instagram now. He'll just name the trick. And he'll put it in slow-mo and shit. Because old Aaron Cowiero is like, show people how to do front shops and shit.
Oh, really? Great. If you want to learn how to do front shops, you know? But Bill for that, Bill Hickey.
Just go on his Instagram. I'm sure there's a slow-mo front shop somewhere. They will be. They will be.
Yeah, they will be. Just go on that. I'm sure I filmed it. Yeah.
Yeah. But you talking about Shane O'Neill was actually just reminded me of a surprise... A surprise jump and ship actually, which I haven't made no other told you about. Diego.
It's called the April. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What is that about? Shane O'Neill was best mates.
Oh, is he? Yeah. So the whole primitive thing. The reason why he's here is because Shane O'Neill.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. They're like... They're buds.
Yeah. They're like, he surprised me because he was just doing some hill flips or something on Instagram. It's just the April board. Yeah.
Still not how... I still don't know how I feel about that name. Yeah, but you know what I like about it, which I don't think many people have spoken about. They might have done.
What, the chicken and the egg? Oh, no. No. What are you saying?
Well, not like turtles reference, April O'Neill. You've got Shane O'Neill. April O'Neill. Ah, I don't think that's all it is.
Yeah, that's not... That's good. That's... You know, I should be selling someone else forwards because turtles, right?
Yeah. You'd like the teenage mutant here at open England because you wouldn't have seen him do. And correct. There's a new ball company called April.
Wait, hold on, hold on. I know what you're saying. I know... April Shane O'Neill.
Oh, Neil! Turtles, right? Who's April? No, no, no, no, no.
He's too young for a turn. Yeah, I know. But where will we? Chris Cole though.
He can't do... Ian, I don't think he's going to zero mate. I just don't say... I know he's going to take a bit of all the time and they are proper good mates and everything.
I just... I don't know if Cole will go back. I just don't know if he'll do it. Yeah.
But the issue, the board landscape now is fucking weird. It's just... I mean, it's brilliant because there's so many of these small companies that you get to see all these different graphics. It's better because there's so much more choice.
But it's harder to place people now because it's like going, oh, do they fit that? Do they fit this? Well, there's like three or four big ones. And then, yeah, there's like ever-sons and people like that.
Yeah. Harrowings and stuff. Yeah. He's not going to go to one of those.
Maybe he does his own thing as well. Yeah. What would be nice because he's only had the skate shop reign. Yes.
It's never done reign the brand. But then it's him and Tom Astor. Reign isn't the thing anymore. No, shut down.
Yeah. But that would have been good. That would have been a fit. Oh, yeah.
That would have fit. All perfectly. And it's a good name. Works.
Definitely. Yeah. So, Chris, if you're listening, just do that mate. I'm still in the trademark.
We can stock it. Yeah, we can stock it. Yeah. Right.
So, all right. Let's just keep this going while we're moving. Andrew Reynolds. The boss.
So, well, let's break this down then. So, we didn't see any of the way we jumped to. We saw the left. America kind of put it out there.
He put it out there. That he's fucking part in ways. What the fuck's going on in it? Yeah.
20 years out of America. Yeah. What's going on in then? And then I think that a clip comes out that he's just skating in some vans.
Is there any actual, there isn't any official declaration? Is there, I don't think anyone said that he is on vans or he said he's on vans or something like that. But I mean, he's on fucking vans, right? He's Andrew Reynolds.
He is on vans. But yeah, there's no official like welcome to the team. Quick clip. Do they even do that?
I don't think they would do that. You would do that with Red on so. Yeah. I don't know.
I think they would do that with the proper rates in a weird, a weird way. They support these like skate rats, like Eliza Burrow and Eve and stuff like that. But then there's such a huge company at the same time that if you were to put on Twitter through the vans thing, people like, who the fuck's Andrew Reynolds? Like the majority of people wearing vans.
They don't have a fucking clue who's on vans. That alone, people would care about Andrew Reynolds. Do you know who's skate to vans? Tony York.
It's close enough. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
I know you're getting up, but I will say, I haven't been, when I was younger, it's getting shit out of vans, right? Along with the XXL and a few DCs back in the day and everything, but shit out of van. Haven't skated for a long time. I know the construction of the shoe, it went downhill.
And I'm not saying they make shit product, but the last couple of years, those old schools, they weren't well made. Just like cardboard. But if you check out what they're doing now, they've gone to like second phase two, if you will, phase three, whatever the fuck it is, they've got all those comfy cush insoles in a nail. All those old school shoes are actually skateball.
So maybe it was a big plan, just to get it, saturate the fuck out of the market with the one that's a bit cheaper that they can make and just throw them out there, and then go back, throw it back in the same view, you know? Just to get a name out there. Because I'm telling you, mate, when I was feeling those souls up the other day, I think it's like the vans cruise, I think it's called. It's called old school, bands, a bit chunkier, but fuck millions, the whole soul, the soul is like squitches.
Yeah, it's good technology. And you know, Abe shoe is fucking nice as well. Yeah, I mean, but is Reynolds gonna get his own shoe? Beep, beep.
Cool with the boss. I mean, well, if a larger bill is getting his own shoe, and don't get wrong, I fucking love a larger bill. He's up there in terms of like relevant skaters now. I love watching him skate.
He's up there, but Andrew Reynolds is Andrew fucking Reynolds. So you've got to give him a shoe. You have to give him a shoe. He's getting re-releases, right?
And again, Rowley legend, Reynolds needs, they could just re-release a fucking America, just make one of his own shoes and just change the lego. Yeah, just change the lego. But that's a big, I mean, the links that we've been, I'm sure everyone's been done together as well, is that I'm sure that Stella has thought he was on bands. Yeah, she does get hooked up.
And obviously Kada, who is, you know, Reynolds's son really as well, who's on bands. I've also seen a Brian Herman skating in Vans. Correct. Yeah.
I don't know what's going on with him and Ellington's shoe company, but that's not a skate shoe company. So, and it's their own things that come out of the world. Yeah, we're more about it. But yeah, there's a reason, I'm going forward as well.
If you look at Vans as a corporation, not the VF group, they're absolutely massive compared to Soltec. Soltec are a big company that you've been doing well, you know, they've been doing well for a fucking long time and they've been keeping it down to skate your own companies. But, you know, a corporation owns like Timbal and the fucking Dickies and Vans. They've got a lot of money going there.
And, you know, Reynolds has got to look at his future. He's got to look at, you know, how long he's going to be skating at the top level. He's still kicking out. So, I don't care what anyone says.
If you watch his Instagram and see what he's doing, it's fine. So, I'll play the same as it ever was. Yeah, if anything better. Yeah, yeah, it's just refined his, it's fine.
Refined his spark. So, he's probably looking at the picture and going, there's a good paycheck there. I'm going to be close to my daughter. I'll be on the same team as my daughter.
I mean, there's all these, because he's not going to do a thing where, you know, I'm sure he might do go forward, but it'd be her choice. You know, do you want to be on Baker? To his daughter? Yeah, because she's an element.
She's an element, which again is a good place to be. For a young skater to be hooked up by Vans and an element. I think you're doing right. Yeah, yeah, if you got the Spitfire wheels as well.
You're all sort of it, didn't you? You never have to go anywhere else. Exactly. So, I think that's probably the thinking.
But, you know, maybe we'll try and get Reynolds on. We'll put out there. We'll probably say no. We'll try for the people, for the people, for the turbo listeners.
Yeah, because we want to know, what is it like to frontside flip in the new Vans? That's the question, isn't it? Does it feel as good as the original Vans, like back in the day? I'll tell you that, mate.
Could you? Yeah, Vans. Well, Vans, fuck it. I've got the fucking frontside flips.
Send us the, send me some Vans. The new competition. I didn't want them to be open. But send us the new ones.
I'll do a frontside flip and I'll tell you. That's it. It was good. Oh, yeah, don't know about that, actually.
Yeah, if they send them, it'd be good anyway. Just send them and I'd say it's good. Yeah, whatever. I'll do a frontside flip.
A nice one. Yeah, one film like Five Years ago. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly.
Yeah, when I could jump down some stairs. I say Five Years, like 15 years ago. Yeah. What was the last time we jumped on some stairs?
No, not too long ago, mate. Not too long ago. More than a four, four or five. LAUGHTER There you go.
That was your answer. Yeah, well played, then. Yeah. I mean, I think jumping ships, good, eh?
I think we put the world's the right, you know? Got any views of what we've said or reasons why, or if there's a jumping ship, we missed that one. Let's know. Go on to tableswatchray.com.
We still got comments section. Or Instagram. Instagram at tableswatchray.com. Yeah, I think we've got an email.
Yeah, we might have an email as well. Yeah, I think that's on the website. Yeah, if you scroll to the bottom of the website, you'll see an email link. Yeah, so any questions, any topics you want us to address, we're happy to do that.
Because we're for the skates. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, yeah.
So maybe next week could be another jumping ship. You just don't know these days, do you? No. No, because I'm just going to slip this one out there.
Duff, man. Good friend of the show. Good friend of the show, right? He's probably commenting on like four of the post.
Yeah. Yeah. He was getting a welcome boy the other day. Yeah.
He was hooked up by the old boy who owns welcome. I can't remember his name now, but whatever. He wanted to try the shapes. He's always liked the funky shapes he was saying.
But I could say to you earlier, Duff, man, where stripes. You're fucking fit. Welcome to Dan's with T. They might even put me in a fucking video and he doesn't have to release his own shit.
Yeah. Just put it out there. Just say him. That would be a good change for him, wouldn't it?
Yeah, absolutely. No. It'd be included. Because that home boy video, right, mate.
Awesome. It was a brilliant video. Great video. Yeah, it's up there.
Yeah, definitely. Well, that's it. Yeah. Tune in next time.
It's all about
