31 - Midsommar (2019) Review

Midsommar is the last stop for Kult Klassics, an entire month devoted to exploring cult-related horror movies in a different decade each week starting with the 1970's and ending with the 2010's.  Midsommar is Ari Aster's follow-up movie to Hereditary and it sure it powerful. Can a young woman who experienced tremendous grief enjoy a getaway in Sweden encountering a midsummer festival or will her and her friends fall prey to a pagan cult? The latter is definitely the case in this one. This movie takes empathy and cliff diving to new heights.As always, a special thanks to Green Knuckle Material for our new music.
